Yesterday I noticed that the skin cream products that were included in the perfume gift set that I received for Christmas was almost empty. Almost every year for Christmas my husband gives me a perfume gift set and it seems like I always use the skin cream products long before I use all the perfume. I don't know about you, but during the winter months, I started packing some of my favorite skin cream products in my bag so that when I go to work or go shopping I always have something with me on the off chance that I need it.

Not only does skin cream feel good on my face but it also helps to battle those age revealing wrinkles and crows feet. I have been blessed in that I look younger than my true biological age. I help that along with some good natural skin care. I use no facial makeup as I feel it clogs my pores. The only thing I use is vaseline for my lips and skin cream to moisturize. On a big occasion I may sport a little mascara and eye shadow.

My daily natural skin care begins with a warm water rinse to open the pores followed with an invigorating facial scrub. A day does not go by that I do not apply skin lotion. It is an integral part of my daily skin care routine. I don't even have to think about it. My skin craves the feel of skin lotion. I have several bottles of skin lotion to choose from on my bathroom shelves. I can pick a certain fragrance depending on my mood or what I have got going that day.

This morning I woke up to beautiful blue skies and sunshine. I don't know why today was any different than the other days filled with sunshine, but suddenly I realized that I have spring fever. I couldn't wait to get in and out of the bath tub so that I could put on my beauty lotion and get outside. I did eat my breakfast first and it was a little cooler than it looked, but the weather is perfect. I probably would still be outside if I didn't need to do a few things in the house this morning, such as order some new bottles of beauty lotion for myself, and vacuum the house.

I was sitting at the computer with the almost empty bottle of beauty lotion in my hand getting ready to place my order. There are some online shopping lessons that I learned a long time ago about getting the best deals on everything. Recently I started using some skin lotion that I borrowed from my mom in hopes that my skin would stop cracking and itching. Every summer my family goes to the beach for one week. We have done this for a number of years even before the children were born. It is an annual event we all look forward to.

I gave myself a facial last night that felt so good. We have had such a wet winter here in Phoenix, but that isn't stopping the air in our house from becoming quite dry and I've been using my skin cream faithfully. Now that winter is in full swing, my skin is feeling the effects. I started my winter skin care regimen to help my dry, itchy, winter skin. I moisturize often to keep my skin from getting so dry. When it gets dry, it itches, peels, cracks and sometimes even bleeds. My knuckles get especially affected from the winter season's dryness. In the morning, I apply skin lotion all over, paying special attention to my trouble areas. At night, I shower with a moisturizing body wash, and then apply a skin lotion while I'm still in the shower, but after I have dabbed off lightly with a towel. I exfoliate occasionally to keep my skin from peeling so much. I try not to go out too much when it's very very cold and super dry out, since that makes it worse. Have you ever watched a woman massage in skin creams to her body? I am married man, happily for ten years now, and there are some things that I love that my wife does. One of the things that I have always loved about myself is that my skin is pretty smooth. I do not say that to brag, but I have always had soft, smooth skin. Sure, I had my bouts of acne, and some dry skin once in awhile, but usually had smooth skin. That is until recently. Now, I have to take a hard look at using skin lotions.

Skin lotion products were not something that I bought regularly. In the winter I would pick up some moisturizer, but short of that, nothing too regularly. However, and I guess it has to do with the passing of time, skin lotion products are becoming quite important to my overall appearance.

I noticed one day that the skin on the top of my hands, around my neck, my ankles ( I don't know why), and my cheeks started to look a little flaky. This did not all happen at once, but over a period of time. I went to the store and bought some skin lotion products that were cheap thinking I would not need it for very long. But, as time progressed and I had to continue using it I realized that my skin was changing with age. I went where any woman looking for quality skin lotion products would go. I have used natural skin care as long as I can remember...and that is a long, long time! I do not use anything expensive or big brand named. I truly keep it simple with my skin care. To me, natural skin care involves basic cleaning and moisturizing. I stay away from make up. The most you will see me use is a little mascara, maybe some eye shadow and vaseline on my lips. That's it, like I said I keep it simple.

Natural skin care for me begins with an invigorating apricot and almond facial scrub in the morning. I always open the pores with warm water and close them with a cool water rinse. That is followed with a sunscreen moisturizer. I may or may not apply the little bit of makeup I use, it depends on what I plan to get into that day.

I end my day with natural skin care that is just as easy as in the morning. I wash my face with a glycerin soap using that same method to open and close the pores. Before hitting the pillow, I apply a generous amount of vitamin E skin cream around those problem areas of the brow, the eyes and mouth, neck and chest. That's all there is to my natural skin care!
