skin lotionNow that winter is in full swing, my skin is feeling the effects.  I started my winter skin care regimen to help my dry, itchy, winter skin.  I moisturize often to keep my skin from getting so dry.  When it gets dry, it itches, peels, cracks and sometimes even bleeds.  My knuckles get especially affected from the winter season's dryness.  They hurt so much from the cracking and bleeding, so I pay special attention to them during the season.  My routine for skin care involves lots of skin lotion.  In the morning, I apply skin lotion all over, paying special attention to my trouble areas.  At night, I shower with a moisturizing body wash, and then apply a skin lotion while I'm still in the shower, but after I have dabbed off lightly with a towel.  I exfoliate occasionally to keep my skin from peeling so much.  I try not to go out too much when it's very very cold and super dry out, since that makes it worse.  Skin lotion is really the key to my winter dry skin.
