skin cream, beauty lotionEven though it's June, I'm starting to get ready for the holidays by shopping online for good sales on skin cream and beauty lotions that I can use to make gift baskets for the people on my list. Gift baskets are so much fun to make and in the winter, people need to use skin cream a lot more than they do in the summer. When the furnace runs, the air dries out and skin creams are the ticket to avoiding chapped skin. The gift baskets are fun to make, too. We use a variety of materials to assemble them, from tissue paper to raffia and ribbons. I use a storage container that slides under a bed to keep the supplies for the gift baskets and then when we are having a hot spell and can't be outside, I'll start assembling the contents for the baskets and putting them in plastic bags. When it's time to buy the baskets close to Christmas, we have everything ready to go and it's a snap to finish the baskets in one evening.
